If there was a place I could live, it would be in an Anthropologie store, I think, and for sure, if I ever had my own retail store, Anthro would be one of my inspirations. From the clothes to the home decor elements and funky design, I just love it! I did a FB post yesterday announcing that I’m tired of painting variations of French Linen, Paris Grey, etc. I love these colors, and they are great neutrals, BUT after a while I’m just bored!
This is the hardest thing about painting furniture to sell, I think. You never really know what people might want, so many times you stick with a neutral color, but after a while you need to get funky! I ordered these two amazing custom colors from Barb at Knack Studios. The colors are called Esme Green and Wyatt Gray. Barb has an amazing studio in N.C., and her work is so fun! She has her own book coming out, and I can just see it being in Anthro stores all over.
I had this amazing piece that I wanted to do something really interesting with, so I chose to use the Esme Green from Barb and just love how it turned out. I just put this in the shop in Falls Church if you are interested.
