We bought this art deco china cabinet a few weeks ago, and I decided it was time to refresh it. Originally we thought we would sell it as is down at FOUNDRY but it never made it to the shop, and I needed a little creative outlet!
Before
I decided to use a base coat of Annie Sloan Aubusson Blue (one of my all-time favs) and then put Country Grey as the top coat just to add a little interest. I ended up distressing it quite a bit around the edges. He is finished off with Johnson’s clear wax. I just love how the blue pops out.
Introducing ART
Great details!
Original hardware
Love these legs!
See the Aubusson blue poking through...love it:-)
What's not to love! $275 as is (glass needs to be replaced) $325 with new glass
The great thing about these little cabinets is that they don’t need to be used for just “china” anymore. Nowadays they make great storage for books, toys, arts & craft supplies, or even to store diapers, etc. in a nursery.
ART will be for sale on my Etsy site and at the barn sale in January {read more about the barn here!} or you can email me kelly@stylishpatina if you are interested.
