My dear friend “D,” as I call her, offered to host my baby shower for the twins, and in true D form, it was amazing and beautiful! She and her husband live in a beautiful townhouse in Old Town, Alexandria. It was a rainy, yucky day outside, but the house was warm and beautiful inside. The food was to die for, and I was a bad blogger and didn’t take enough pictures of everything!
A few of the cutest things ever (and great ideas if you have to throw a shower) were:
- that she had baby bibs on her topiaries out front
- a little pink & blue bathrobes on the front door
- and the most adorable little Ralph Lauren onesies on the mantle with clothespins
- 2 little cakes, one in pink for our girl and one in blue for the boy
Many heartfelt thanks to D (and her hubby) for throwing the shower and opening up their home. The “Costco Babies” (get it 2 for 1 special), as she lovingly calls them, give their aunty D a big thank you too.
