I have seen so many amazing uses of vintage doors in homes lately, and many of you have asked where you can get the hardware. You can purchase the hardware online at a few different locations. One of the best places is barndoorhardware. They sell just about anything you might need.
The DIY Network also posted a “How To” guide that you should check out if you are going to try a DIY project. House Tweaking Blog also documented their install. If you hire a contractor, you should be fine. The next big question is: where do I get the doors, and/or what if I need a door that is larger than a standard door?
Where to get vintage doors? We have them at our Rough Luxe Market in a variety of sizes. You can also find them at Habitat for Humanity Restores and Community Forklift if you are in the DC/VA/MD area.
What is needed: a larger door? You can build them (check out House Tweaking Blog), or you can check out reclaimedlumberproducts.
