Well, this will be a holiday to remember in the Millspaugh Thompson house. We had a bit of a scare with a family member on Christmas Eve and ended up spending most of the day in the hospital. Hence the title of the post: “Be grateful every day for the ones you love”. Everything is okay, thank goodness, but it gave us a big scare.
Unfortunately, my brother and his wife were in South Carolina this year with her family for the holidays, but we did FaceTime with them on the iPhone. We had a nice Christmas morning at my parents' house, and I’ll share a few fun pics. The theme seemed to be for my hubby and I work out attire and tools {to help with the business}. There were a couple special gifts in there I was given by my parents: my great-grandfather's pocket watch, which I plan to wear on a chain as a necklace. I just adore it!
Mom got an iPad because, as COO of Stylish Patina, she needs to be up on the latest technology, and Dad got a flat-screen TV so he can watch the Redskins win the Super Bowl this year in HD 🙂 We always have lots of books given at Christmas; we are a book-giving family, and this year we had a very special book. My dad wrote and published a family memoir! He has been working on it for a couple of years now, and we FINALLY got our copy. I can’t wait to read it.
