This week's before + after is actually one that I did in the warehouse for the Rough Luxe sale this weekend! We had a gorgeous Empire dresser similar to this one (I forgot to take a before picture, sorry!) with fabulous drawers that needed just a little something to make it more “current”.
It was beautiful, and I couldn’t bring myself to paint the entire piece (especially the drawers; the wood is gorgeous!). So I just painted the exterior; I think it really demonstrates the modern function vintage soul concept we try to incorporate in our design work.
This dresser will not be for everyone (I can hear some of you saying “why did you paint that beautiful wood dresser!”) but I love it and hope it will find a loving home at this weekend's sale. I used Queenstown Gray from General Finishes (GF) Milk Paint line and sealed it with GF Satin Poly, which we sell in the shop. This beauty will be for sale at this weekend's ROUGH LUXE VINTAGE WAREHOUSE SALE. We will also be having a sidewalk sale out front, so come and snag a deal or two!
