This week’s before-and-after comes to us from Kandice in Staten Island, New York, owner of Just The Woods. At Just The Woods, Kandice says she “does not restore furniture, she renews it,” finding old, discarded furniture and giving it new life as a modern painted pieces.
Today’s featured piece is a solid wood liquor cabinet that Kandice hunted for, hauled, repaired and painted.
Here is the before.
“I hand painted this vintage solid wood liquor cabinet pure black on the outside and a black washed gray on the inside. The entire piece has been distressed to enhance the original details and curves while the rear panel has been completely replaced. The cabinet features new dangle hardware as well,” said Kandice.
Kandice makes it a point to refresh her creations using 100% safe products that make all her pieces safe in any home.
