Chalk Paint Insights & Pure Joy Moments

Chalk Paint Insights & Pure Joy Moments

Good evening! I have noticed that when using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint (ASCP), some of them are thicker than others, so I wanted to share a little bit of info that I have tried. Especially with the Old Ochre, I am starting to add a bit of water if it seems to be going on too thick. I have found that after the paint is opened and sits out it does tend to thicken a bit, so don’t be afraid to add a bit of H2O. This is a great trick for a 2nd coat if you want to keep it a bit lighter just to even out the coverage PLUS it makes the paint last longer!

Some intel on a couple of the other ASCP colors…I have found that Arles, Emperors Silk and the Pink are much more “light weight” paints they don’t cover as thick so they require more coats of paint.

I am hoping to pull together a little class on “How to refresh furniture” here in the next 30 days, so stay tuned!

What do folks like I do when it rains? We still paint! My garage today.

So I must end this post with a few “Pure Joy” pictures I took at a fountain in Charleston….ahh when life was this easy, enjoy the pics and try and remember when was the last time you played in a water fountain just for fun!
