I get asked a lot if it is safe to use paint and wax on baby cribs. First of all, painting a baby crib is not for the faint of heart! I have done one for a customer, and it’s a lot of work. Then I had my own kids and saw that my boy loves to chew on his crib; yes, I said chew. I think he has stopped doing it now, but when those teeth started to come in, he gave them a workout on his crib.
We recently got an email from Annie saying that the wax was “toy safety” approved, so the answer is YES, you can feel confident about using our Chalk Paint® and wax line on your kids' furniture even if you think they might use it as a chew toy!
I did a little searching on Pinterest for folks that have redone cribs with Chalk Paint® and found a few examples. Such a great way to save some money when setting up your nursery. Cribs are expensive!
