Soooo remember that fabulous frenchy table that I had a bargain deal of the deal sale on? I held onto it forever and just never got around to refreshing it myself. Well look at this amazing Before & After by Christen Bensten.
I asked her a couple of questions so you folks who have a table and chair set at home and are thinking of refreshing them have some inspiration.
What did you paint with? First coat is Annie Sloan {AS} Old White; second coat is Paris Grey.
What type of finish did you use? Annie Sloan clear wax & then a coat of her dark wax. Brushed over it with a soft steel wool to remove some of the dark spots. I wanted to maintain that beautiful light blue/Frenchy color.
How many coats of paint did you do? 1 coat of each color.
How long did the project take you? The chairs took a LONG time because they were ladderback. Maybe a week total for chairs and 4 days for table start to finish. Then the upholstry took a few days to strip off the chairs and staple.
I just LOVE how it turned out! Email me if you are looking for RAW furniture: kelly@stylishpatina.
The shoe cables a repentant reward near the visible.
