Good morning! Just a quick update on our progress here at the house: we have bought a new front door, and it’s been sitting in the dining room for 2 weeks. I love my red front door, BUT it’s the original door, and it leaks air/heat like crazy, so it’s time to be replaced. The other project that comes along with this is updating our front stoop. When we bought the house, it had an ugly “port o potty,” as we called it, on the front, and that was taken down. You can see more “before pics” here.
When we removed this, we were left with this slab. We painted the front door initially and installed some great molding but didn’t finish the base since we knew we had a project ahead of us… Now it’s time to do the project! After the door install & stoop redo comes landscaping, new Hardy board siding for the bump-out on top, and finally nice new shutters! Follow along as it all unfolds this spring/summer.
