March 21st: Furniture Painting Class

March 21st, we will be offering both a Basic Furniture Painting Class and an Advanced Furniture Painting Class at our warehouse in Falls Church, VA. For those of you interested in taking both the basic and advanced classes, we are offering a discount if you attend both classes. Be sure to register online early or shop spots fill up quickly.

Basic & Advanced Paint Class

If you would like to take both our Basics & Advanced classes on January 24th, we are offering a discounted rate of $220 compared to $250 if you take them at different times. We will have a 1-hour break between classes from 12-1 pm.

BASIC CLASS – Introduction to our 2 lines of paint: Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan & Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint. These two paint lines have unique characteristics and this class will allow you to play with each one. This is a two-hour class in our Rough Luxe warehouse location in Falls Church. We will cover:

– Paint application techniques for both lines: Chalk Paint + Milk Paint

– Two-color application

– Annie Sloan wax application, both clear & dark

– Distressing for an aged look

– MMS white wax & antiquing wax

ADVANCED CLASS

Our advanced class is 2 hours as well. In our advanced class this month we will be learning how to use the following products:

1 – Dark wax as a stain

2 – Gilding Wax

3 – Making colored wax

4 – Layering paint colors

5 – Chalk Paint as a wash

6 – Playing with pearl plaster

All products will be supplied; you just need to bring your creativity!

Location: Warehouse space at 138 W. Jefferson St, Falls Church, VA 22046.

Time: Basic is 10-12 pm & Advanced is 1-3 pm.

Fee: $220 (includes all supplies) for both or $125 each.
