Meet Aubusson, Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan

Meet Aubusson, Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan

Meet Aubusson Blue! This gorgeous color of Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan is deep + rich. Named after the blue found in classic Aubusson rugs from France, this color is inspired directly by the development of Prussian Blue in the late 18th Century. It’s the perfect color for a Swedish interior. This color one of my all time favorite colors to use straight out of the can and also to mix with. Aubusson blue and Florence mixed is one of my all time go to’s!

Check out this vintage secretary (below) painted by Annie Sloan that we found on Pinterest. We love how she used the paint on the fabric in the chair as well as the drapes! We think it gives a unique look.

This dresser below was shared on Instagram by Jane Brereton. Jane combined Chalk Paint Florence and Aubusson. She finished this project using the Chalk Paint Clear Wax.

Check out these drool worthy projects using Aubusson Blue! I have an entire PIN BOARD dedicated to this color if your want to check it out. Here are a few of my favorites below. Are you feeling inspired yet?

Don’t forget how easy Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan is to use, NO PREP NO PRIMING needed. Just pop the top and go! Check out the Annie Sloan YouTube page for some video with Annie herself.
