This past weekend I actually talked my hubby into coming with me to do a little “picking”. This isn’t our normal thing, actually; I can usually never get him to come along for the ride, but he agreed. We checked out a couple places, and I found a few treasures, but all in all it seemed to be a mild afternoon. I found some vintage books, old wood golf clubs, and tennis rackets.
We were headed home, and my #1 picker, my mom, called and said ” There is a truck and all this furniture, and you need to get over here now! I’m guarding a table for you”. This is why she is my #1 picker. Hubby and I drove over, and they were gutting an old house and selling everything inside. Now this wasn’t pretty stuff; it was pretty gross, to be honest, but if you have a vision, it’s a dream for someone like me.
3 hours later and two hauls with Gerty and Ira, we scored the honey pot! Mom said, “This gets my endorphins pumping.” I love her… Now I know where I get the thrill of the chase from!
